When I first began my young career in the recruiting & staffing industry, I thought that my job was to fill job orders…I had it all wrong. It didn’t take me long to realize that I impact so many lives on a daily basis. I take very seriously the fact that I help shape the career paths of professionals, and enjoy the trust, loyalty, and relationships that develop as a result. I strive to put new career opportunities on the table for job seeking professionals and shepherd them through the process and beyond. I take a similar approach with clients and hiring managers as well. It is critical to understand your clients’ needs and the environment in which their projects are taking place. I strive to become a strategic partner through collaboration rather then just being a “staffer.” At the end of the day, we all help each other become successful in achieving our goals.
What I enjoy most about recruiting is that I get the chance to help people attain their goals. It gives me a great feeling to partner with job seekers and our clients. I started in the IT Staffing industry in a support role – entering/posting job orders, keeping track of metrics, etc. However, as I made the progression to the role of a Recruiter, I came to realize that the most important aspect of this industry is its people. I get to work with great people and assist them with their career goals on a daily basis – a role that I take very seriously.
